My name is Lauren Souther, and I am a graduate student at Appalachian State University, about to start my second year in the Public History M.A. program. In May of 2013, I graduated with a B.A. in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

 

After visiting the United State Holocaust Memorial Museum at the age of 10, two things became my passions in life: Museums and the Holocaust.

 

In March of 2014, I was given the opportunity to intern at the Virginia Holocaust Museum in Richmond.  This blog chronicles my experiences living in a new city, interning for the first time, meeting new people, and enjoying every minute working in one of the best museums in Richmond.
